Today I browsed the websites of major mobile communication operators in Australia, and the iphone4 occupies every one's homepage which was in expectation. There are screenshots and I hope I'm not breaching any copy law or something.
I believe the strategic co-operations between the operators and Apple will achieve mutual benefit since the following reasons:
a) The internet would be the prior way for receiving information and communicating with the outside world of iPhone4's identified target market and potential buyers. The post of huge amount of ads on the internet helps Apple to achieve the 'frequency 'and 'rich' of target audiences.
b) Most people might prefer to get the iPhone 4 within a mobile cap plan since this is a better deal than buying from an Apple store. To split the distribution into more
channels will eventually generate more sales.
c) Customers are willing to sign a new iPhone 4 cap plan or to pay extra money to upgrade their existing plan in order to receive the latest iPhone. Thus, more profit also will be generated for the mobile communication operators as well.
I also found promotional information of iPhone 4 in my email inbox which sent by Apple, and of course the Apple website, the facebook and twitter. Obviously Apple wouldn't miss every single opportunity to promote its new product. The iPhone 4 is not only on but is everywhere. I believe there will be a certain amount of audience who are going to get the stuff in different channels under Apple's bombing promotion.
Agree. I am one of those people who wants to own iPhone4
ReplyDeleteReally like the consumer insights. I am getting a little over the hype atm. It is almost too in your face, when I want to feel special, like I am the only one lucky enough to have one.
